Chip-Sizer Rechipper for Oversized Wood Chips
The Jeffrey Chip-sizerTM rechipper was pioneered in 1996 as a result of industry concern over the high maintenance cost of typical rechippers. Jeffrey is the first company in the industry to research and develop a true no-knife rechipper. Several designs were discussed and tested in our lab before determining that our current patented design would be best suited for the industry. The first unit was put into production in February of 1997 and quickly achieved results beyond anyone’s expectations. In 2004, Jeffrey shipped its 100th Chip-sizerTM rechipper.
At their first look, people assume that they are looking at a typical wood hog. While the operating principal is similar to a wood hog, the Chip-sizerTM rechipper incorporates several special features and components. The Jeffrey designed Chip-sizerTM hammer allows the unit to operate at speeds much slower than hammermills, and also offers a “soft-touch” to the chips to keep from creating pins and fines. This along with other patented components permits the Chip-sizerTM rechipper to reduce oversized chips at unheard of efficiencies.
Jeffrey Specialty Equipment supplies products to sawmills, planermills, plywood, OSB, LVL and MDF plants.
