Plummer / Pillow Block Split Bearing Housing

Split plummer/pillow block housings are housing that hold rolling element (self aligning ball or spherical) bearings or sliding bearings. Their design elements include:

• Cast iron, cast steel, machined steel or rolled steel housing.
  
• Split housing design allows for easy bearing removal.  Some designs using sliding bearings/bushings allow removal and replacement without removal of the shaft.
