Firewood Conveyors and Firewood Cleaning

Firewood outfeed conveyors are used to convey split firewood up and away from the processor. Usually conveys firewood to a truck, bin or the ground. They consist of either a belt or chain conveyor with flights/cleats. The conveyors are tow able behind a truck, have adjustable angles (hydraulic or mechanical) and can be powered from processor hydraulics or its own power supply. Some firewood processors have integral outfeed conveyors for maximum convenience and portability.

Firewood cleaning can be of importance for special customers (supermarkets, gas stations) who require firewood free of dirt, loose bark, splinters, etc. Cleaning can be achieved by grates located at the outfeed of the wedge splitters, conveyors with integral screens, vibrating screens or rotary screens. If the product must be completely free of bark, bugs and other material the logs should be debarked before processing into firewood.
